I’ve always wanted to get to the bottom of things, I wanted to know exactly how something works. As a child, I was already involved in electronics, experimenting with tube amplifiers, first semiconductor components, making small radios and much more. In my school years, I helped to upgrade a language lab at my school, and built amplifiers for our school band at the time. Some money by the way also earned me my hobby, by taking over many service orders in our neighborhood and repairing televisions – and radios. Consequently, I also took up a technical profession in the communications industry.
With the appearance of the first personal computer of the legendary “C64” and with the possibility to develop software myself, I had discovered a new field of activity for me. However, my first own PC was a “CPC 464” from Schneider, a fine device. Gradually, IT found its way into all areas of our lives and I was and am a constant companion of this development.
